Italian Mid-Century Bar Cabinet / Sideboard

This elegant Italian Mid-Century sideboard with integrated bar was produced in the 1950s by La Permanente Mobili Cantù. Its asymmetrical architecture with a floating upper shelf, slender legs and brass details gives the piece a light, sculptural appearance. Characteristic features include the finely grained wood veneer, black ribbed fronts and distinctive brass hardware. Behind several doors and drawers is a spacious interior with shelving and a stylish bar compartment with mirror and glass. Stylistically, the piece reflects the refined Italian design tradition associated with Paolo Buffa, Vittorio Dassi and Osvaldo Borsani.
