Large Sideboard by Alfred Altherr

Rare, large-format sideboard from the 1950s, designed by Alfred Altherr for K. H. Frey Freba Typenmöbel. The piece features a clean, architectural silhouette elevated by original metal legs and a striking material composition: the two doors and drawer handles are veneered in vibrant Zebrano wood, adding rhythm and refinement to the restrained structure. It remains in original, unrestored condition with beautiful patina and age-appropriate wear. A distinguished example of early Swiss postwar modernism with an eye for subtle elegance.
